Job Description

I am looking for a part-time (20 hours / week) Virtual Assistant with the possibility to move to full-time. You will be helping me manage my personal & business matters as I am launching my online IFS coaching business.

# About me
I am a former high achiever turned trauma-informed IFS coach. I left the business world at the beginning of 2023 after a career at one of the top 3 consulting firms, studying at a top-tier MBA, and working in strategy for one of the FAANGs. My own psychological healing journey compelled me to transition into the field of healing arts and modern trauma therapy. For the past year, I’ve been working on launching my IFS coaching business while moving out of my previous environment in the US.

# About the job
I’m looking for someone who can help support me in building my business and maintaining order in my life as a Virtual Assistant. Your tasks would be a mix of the two areas, including:
* Scheduling sessions and personal commitments;
* Customer service;
* Establishing new systems I’d use in my business or in my life;
* Designing and updating financial reports;
* Help with my personal finances;
* Travel and trip organization;
* Creating educational content, video and image editing;
* Conducting customer and market research;
* Networking with other coaches;
* Helping me with errands and life projects;
…and anything else I might need at a given time.

The ideal candidate:
* Is a generalist, someone who is great at picking up new things and performing them at a high level.
* Has a sense for quality and can create client-ready materials.
* Speaks and writes great English, uses technology and applications efficiently.
* Is comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, and/or their Google equivalents.
* Disciplined, can create structures and routines and stick to them.
* Can just pick up the phone when they want to get things done.

This is the right job for you if you:
* Sound like the ideal candidate above,
* Want to work around 20 hours / week, getting paid based on time worked,
* Are interested in increasing your hours in the future,
* Feel excited by the pay and the perks.

# Perks
* Flexible working hours, as long as we can overlap.
* Flexible vacation—just ask for it and we’ll find a way.
* Potential (but no obligation) to work more hours when there are ongoing projects.
* Potential for promotion or full-time hire.
* Work with someone you can learn from—I am ex-McKinsey, ex-Google, and a Stanford alum.
* Explore a super exciting topic, right on the cutting-edge of modern psychology.

# Application criteria
This job is a rare opportunity, so I want to make sure that I meet the most qualified candidates. As such, the application requires some work from applicants.

There will be 3 steps in the job application:
(1) Initial application — see below
(2) Technical exercise & personality tests
(3) Video interview

If I invite you to the video interview, I will compensate you for 4 hours for the time that you spent on the application.

# Initial application

Please send me an application that addresses all of the following:

## (1) Research
Spend a little time researching and watch a few videos on YouTube, or consume any other resource on Internal Family Systems (IFS). If this doesn’t pique your curiosity, or if it doesn’t last at least an hour, this is not the right position for you.

Please answer the following questions:
(a) How would you describe what you understand IFS as? (50-100 words written or 15-25 seconds recorded)
(b) What, if anything, do you find interesting about it? It’s okay if your feelings or judgments are negative or skeptical. Please reflect honestly on how you feel after learning about this subject. (50-100 words written or 15-25 seconds recorded)

## (2) Motivation
Please answer the following motivational questions honestly:
(a) In what way are you most different from other people you know? (50-100 words written or 15-25 seconds recorded)
(b) What makes you a good candidate for working with me? (50-100 words written or 15-25 seconds recorded)
(c) Tell me about your experience doing similar jobs. (50-100 words written or 15-25 seconds recorded, attach resume if you have it)

## (3) Work sample
Show me or tell me about a project that you have been a part of and are proud of. This can be a school paper, artwork, organizing a trip, a particularly productive period in life, or anything else. It doesn’t have to be the most impactful thing. (50-100 words written or 15-25 seconds recorded, attach sample if you can)
