About Sidekick

Sidekick is a remote-based Chartered Accountancy firm in the UK that provides end-to-end accounting and advisory services to ambitious businesses. We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic bookkeeper to join our remote team and help our clients gain insight into their financial performance. This position offers you the opportunity to work from home.

As a Management Accountant you will and must be:

– CPA qualified and have experience working in accounting for an overseas employer.
– You must have the energy and passion to help further your knowledge and help business owners in the UK and will be communicating directly with UK clients.
– Preparation of monthly and quarterly management accounts, payroll and bookkeeping reviews and there may be some exposure also to helping the UK team to map out business strategies and undertake financial planning.
– Experience with Xero will be beneficial but not required – being comfortable with learning and utilising new technology is a must however.
– Time allocation: 75% management accounts preparation and client communication, 25% bookkeeping and accounts review.
– Excellent English written and verbal communication is a must.
– An enquiring mind will be a must, with the ability to think outside the box paying particular attention to financial trends.
– Have excellent attention to detail and be willing to learn new skills quickly and be ready to collaborate on all tasks.
– You are not working alone either, you will get all the training required and will be supported by the current Philippines team as well as the senior UK team.

Other Details:
– If you are successful in the first stage you will be required to undertake a written English test.
– Applicants must be able to work UK hours (7AM GMT to 4PM GMT, Monday to Friday with breaks), and provide their own stable internet connection.
