About the Role
• Assist with the month-end, year-end accounting and reporting processes
• Prepare reconciliations of selected general ledger accounts
• Liaise with external accountants as required
• Accounts Payable-Invoice validation and processing
• Assist in the administration of the financial system
• High level administrative support to the CEO and other senior managers
Skills/Qualifications
• Degree/Diploma qualified in Accountancy
• High-level excel skills
• CA qualifications
• Strong experience with Xero
• Great problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication
• Highly organized with outstanding time management skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work well under pressure and to meet deadlines
• Friendly and enthusiastic attitude
• Monitoring the diary, making appointments and ensuring all documents are collated for meetings
• Arrange meetings, venues for meetings, minute taking and distribution
• Draft correspondence on behalf of the managers
• General administrative tasks as required
• Assist with expense reconciliations
The Ideal Candidate
• Must have prior experience working with Australian companies and strong knowledge of Australian tax law, including GST, PAYG, Superannuation, etc.
• Must have experience in high-volume business
• Should have experience working in a fast-growing startup environment and/or the software industry
• Should have previous experience providing high level support to executives and board of directors
• Will have excellent verbal and written communication
• Is highly organized with outstanding time management skills, strong attention to detail and is prepared to work beyond the typical 9-5
• Previous experience in a similar role either working directly for offshore companies, or in a BPO.
