We are a newly formed Tax Advisory and consulting firm in the United States. Our firm is faith based and values/mission driven. We are inviting a standout professional with relevant experience for the position of Senior Manager – Taxation in our Austin, TX US office.
Key Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients of varying size and scope and act as the tax preparer or reviewer for these clients. Your portfolio of clients will be sophisticated high net worth individuals and their related businesses, investment partnerships, trusts and estates.

• You will be expected to have reasonable knowledge on complex federal tax areas contained in Title 26 such as:
Subchapter A – Income Tax
Subtitle B – Estate and Gift Tax
Subchapter C – Corporate Tax;
Subchapter J – Income Taxation of Estates and Trusts;
Subchapter K – Income Taxation of Partnerships;
Subchapter S – Income Taxation of S Corporations;
Oil and Gas Taxation
Real Estate Taxation

• You will be expected to conduct tax research and planning using primary and secondary sources of authority, including drafting clear and concise memoranda or notes to tax files as appropriate, and the identification of tax planning ideas and improvements.

• You will be responsible for timely preparation, of income tax returns including calculation of recommended quarterly estimates. This will require the review, analysis and compilation of client information in organized and referenced workpapers and tax files and the drafting of client emails to request any open/missing information.

• You will be required to effectively prioritize and organize timely completion of work assignments including coordination of work priorities through collaboration with partners.

• You will be expected to review the work of other staff, providing informed guidance and instruction for changes.

• As the firm grows and additional staff are added, your role will expand to include developing & training of team members, providing feedback, instruction and guidance on a regular basis.

• You will play a vital role in resource planning by evaluating engagement performance, recording time daily, completing project budgets, and providing financial metrics.

Qualifications & Experience
• 6+ years in public accounting firm tax department combined with advanced academic qualifications; active CPA (current and valid license required).
• Strong technical skill in federal taxation
• Proficient knowledge of automated tax processing systems and Microsoft Office tools, including hands-on experience with Quickbooks, advanced Excel features, Adobe PDF and Adobe Flyer, CCH ProSystems and/or CCH Axcess and tax research applications.
• Excellent supervisory, analytical, and leadership ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex information.
• Demonstrate problem solving ability along with attention to detail and coordinating multiple tasks simultaneously.
