What you’ll do:
Note: our team is flexible and takes pride in accomplishing what others cannot. The following is the expected task list, while occasional tasks will fall outside.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Research
– Market research, competitor analysis, etc
– Startup valuation and pitch decks for investors
– Research new business opportunities and draft reports, analysis about your findings.
– Researching and drafting reports on investment themes and industries of interest
Financial Analysis
– Financial modeling and analysis, valuations, etc
– Conduct detailed business and financial due diligence for startups
– Monitoring existing investments and preparing quarterly valuation updates
– Unit economics, cash flow forecasts, capitalization strategy
– Conducting due diligence and valuation analysis on prospective and current investments
Communications
– Review incoming requests and conduct initial vetting of potential investments.
– Prepare strategic recommendations and reports for leadership
– Meeting with founders and senior executives at current and prospective portfolio companies
– Preparing various presentation deliverables including investment memos, marketing materials, and investor reports
Qualifications and skills:
– 2+ years of relevant experience
– Understanding of startup company economics and the challenges of the startup journey.
– Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with advanced financial modeling skills
– Detail oriented with exceptional oral and written communication skills
– Ability to thrive in a team-oriented environment while also working independently.
– Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with C-suite level stakeholders.
– Strong attention to details.
– Experience in VCs, Start-up accelerators, Incubators, or Innovation Studios.
– Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business/Economics related field.
