Job Description

Account Manager required for a Sydney-based (Australia) marketing consultancy providing outsourced marketing services support for small-to-medium sized businesses. We have a broad range of clients within the retail, healthcare and financial services industries.

Our values are:
Honesty – we always recommend what is in the best interests of the client
Passion – we explore every opportunity to improve performance because it matters to us
Respect – we value everyone’s unique contribution no matter their role
Positivity – we focus on the potential for what might be possible
Friendly – we’re nice people to work with and like to have fun

Due to growth, we are looking to hire an Account Manager who will be responsible for helping to execute best-in-class marketing initiatives across the entire customer portfolio. This role will work as the primary support to the founder and Principal Consultant.

No two days are the same as we react to client needs and look to proactively support their business goals. Ultimately this role helps ensure the client’s requirements are implemented effectively and efficiently.

Skills required to succeed:
– Must have excellent attention to detail – you take pride in everything you touch, no matter how small. The quality of the final product is important to you personally
– Must have exemplary written and verbal English. Majority of client communication is via email though phone and participation in conference calls will be required
– Must be very comfortable managing yourself, and external partners to hit delivery deadlines. You will know the timings for all your activities and will proactively chase stakeholders to ensure they are met
– You need to be comfortable working across multiple clients and able to learn their needs quickly. You take a genuine interest in better understanding their business needs
– Very well organised – a key requirement will be keeping the client workload tracker document up to date
– Must have a passion for marketing and a passion to build your career. If you do not have either of these then do not apply as this will not be the right job for you

The successful applicant will benefit immensely by working closely with a 25-year marketing veteran. There is significant opportunity for professional development and growth through mentorship if the applicant demonstrates a genuine desire to learn and grow. If any of the values listed above are not important to you, please do not apply.

Experience required:
– At least 2 years’ experience managing marketing campaigns, ideally online and offline (online the priority)
– Intermediary digital marketing knowledge – you will need to understand the core principles for key channels such as SEO, PPC, social etc
– Have managed email campaigns via an email distribution platform
– Have worked with creative teams and/or a designer
– Have managed some basic website projects – a key requirement for this role is to oversee continuous updates to a client’s website
– Ideally have experience with work management platforms such as Asana (though this is not essential)
– Basic CMS experience with Elementor would be an advantage (but also not essential)

The role requires working Australian hours, including into the evening as this is often the best time for one-on-one catch ups with the Principal. You will need to present very professionally, in a professional looking setting on conference calls with clients.
To be considered, within your application you must give an example of a challenge you faced in your career and how you overcame it.
