Job Description

Are you in love with numbers, detail oriented, and hate when performance isn’t met? Great! You’ve found the perfect job at a fun, creative, laid-back ad agency. The MVR Digital team is looking for a dynamic, go-getter that will be the pulse of the advertising division keeping all teams aligned and on track to hitting their goals.

This is a new role in the company so you would be creating the operational workflow.

The goal of this role is to understand client goals, observe ad performance over time and call out any findings to media buyers so that they can better make decisions. You’ll also set up processes to help avoid a crisis scenario from occurring. Examples of things we would like to see from you:
– The client has a set budget for the month but you notice we are pacing to overspend. You inform all teams and provide recommendations that Google should reduce spend, while Meta stays constant to be sure we hit performance targets.
– You did a trend analysis and noticed CPMs have been increasing slowly over the last few months. You call this out to the media buyers to either fix ads or observe the market.
– You are noticing that non-brand performance on Google for a particular product is not resulting in purchases, but has the most spend allocated to it. You ask the media buyer to reduce spend on this product.
– You are finding that sales for a particular product have slowed from data gathered in Shopify. You then look at how much spend is allocated to that product and see that spend has been reduced which correlates to the reduced sales. You notify the team to make decisions on this.

To ensure success as a marketing analyst, you should have at least two years of experience in marketing, excellent mathematics and language skills, and outstanding analytical insights. Ideal candidates will have a proven aptitude for interpreting data and strong research abilities, along with a curiosity to always know more.
