An Australian based fun run events company that is currently in need of a full-time Marketing and Events Support Officer.
The ideal candidate for this position is an individual who excels in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; someone who can manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with a positive attitude. This person will be helping to manage marketing, SEO and event organisation, communication with suppliers and vendors, social media support and day to day operational needs.

Primary Responsibilities

– Use timelines and scheduled content to generate a consistent flow of new content for audience interaction while managing, analysing, and altering schedules where necessary to optimize visits. Post daily on all the company’s social media platforms.
– Manages the company’s various social media accounts, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, and other relevant platforms.
– Conduct Research on social media’s new trends and enhance the company’s social media presence.
– Create engaging blogs, posts, reels, and videos to be shared. Create content that increases audience engagement.
? Run social media campaign. Conduct Q&A on the social media platform.
– Keep an eye on competitors’ social media activities.
– Boost content by using search engine optimization (SEO) (Training given if needed)
– Website reviews, setup of pages, SEO on website (WordPress) (Training given if needed)
– Analyses and reports audience information and success of existing social media projects.
– Brainstorming and implementing new event marketing plans and extending reach online.
– Control social media communications (Inbox) and reply to comments.
– Event Management; Obtaining permits with council shires and local law enforcement.
– Organise facilities for car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality and the media
as required. Research suppliers and contractors, then negotiate prices and hire.
– Liaising and organising stall holder / vendors, Send stall holders details to councils and
confirm.
– Handling post-event reports.

Social Media VA Requirements and Qualifications

– High school diploma or equivalent.
– Good computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word & Excel)
– Experience with cloud services, Google Docs, and other technology tools.
– Highly organised and able to multitask and work well with fast-paced directions and
instructions.
– Able to manage time effectively and efficiently.
– Vital customer service and presentation skills.
– Two years’ previous experience handling assistant or administrative responsibilities, or
experience in customer service or related field preferred.

Key Selection Criteria

– Background on Marketing and SEO (preferred but not essential)
– Experience Marketing sector (Internship/Work)
– Experience in Events (preferred but not essential)
– High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
– Demonstrated commitment to quality customer service.
– Proven ability to manage competing priorities.
– Effective communication skills – clear, concise, and positive.
– Thrives in an autonomous role as well as in a team environment.
– Highly driven with a proactive and positive attitude.
– Possesses high level written and verbal communication skills;
Technical Requirements (an I.T. remote testing will be conducted)
– Windows desktop or laptop with at least Windows 10 operating
– system installed or a Mac laptop or desktop with at least OS 10.8 installed.
– Phone capable of posting on social media.
– Working headset with microphone
– Working Webcam
– A wired Internet connection (Broadband DSL) with Internet speed of at least 5mbps
– A backup internet connection (pocket Wi-fi or USB dongle mobile broadband)
– A quiet working environment

– A detail-oriented person is a must
– Start time 8:30am AEST.
– 40 hours weekly
– Monday to Friday
