Marketing Assistant (flexible hours, long term)

I’m looking for someone who is smart, organized, and trustworthy to be my Marketing Assistant. Bluntly, I’m looking for a perfectionist who is extraordinarily detail-oriented.

– PLEASE NOTE: This is not an entry-level assistant position. You MUST have 2+ years of experience in digital marketing with at least one of the following: Facebook ads, content marketing, influencer outreach, CRO, email marketing, copy writing and Adwords.
– This is an extremely detail-oriented and high-pressure role. Expect to get multiple tasks from me most of which need to be done within 24 hrs.
– I’m an extremely demanding boss and am looking for someone with extreme attention to detail who enjoys deeply researching marketing topics, working with excel, executing marketing campaigns, figuring things out and is fun to work with.
– But if you have experience with digital campaigns this position will be very challenging and extremely rewarding.
– You’ll also get to set your own time. It doesn’t matter when you get tasks done as long as they get done in 24 hrs. We will hop on a 30 min zoom call once every few days but other than that this position is very flexible.
– You’ll learn a lot through the constant experimentation that we will be doing across a broad range of marketing channels.
– This is a part-time role. Starting at 20 – 40 hrs per month. Depending on how we work together, this could increase to more hours per month. We communicate via email, Trello, and Voxer. Almost ALL communication will happen asynchronously.
– You’ll be doing extremely thorough and deep research on various marketing topics. You’ll also need to execute various marketing campaign plans and report their results in detail.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
– Work with me to execute all campaigns and marketing experiments.
– Responsible for managing regular email marketing campaigns.
– Own the reporting on the performance of email strategies, programs, and campaigns, share learnings regularly with me.
– A/B test to better understand and optimize across campaigns.
– Proofread emails for accuracy, clarity, brand compliance, grammar, and spelling.
– Dive into google analytics to find valuable insights.
– Manage website, including uploading blog posts, and formatting newsletters.
– Be the point person for service providers for projects such as web design.

Knowledge & Skills
– Knowledge of excel. Ability to quickly research and learn any new excel skills as needed.
– Ability to solve tasks with minimal or no guidance

Education & Experience:
– 2+ years of work experience in digital marketing.
– Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights to inform program decisions.
– Proven understanding of how to execute, and optimize a broad range of digital campaigns (Like Ads, social, email, or influencer)
– Ability to translate strategy into tactical executions.
– Strong communicator, ready to present findings on a weekly/monthly basis with both strong written communication.
– Demonstrate exceptional attention to detail and follow-through, adept at managing multiple tasks and adapting to changing priorities.
– MUST be able to speak and write in perfect English.
– Must be available on weekends. (You can have two other days off like Mondays and Tuesdays)
– Should be available to work up to 4 hours on any given day.
– Must respond within 12 hrs and complete short term tasks within 24 hrs. Including on weekends.
– Since this is a virtual position, must be a self-starter, self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight
– Must be comfortable developing and working in a virtual relationship, and having limited amount of face-time.
