Job Description

Cooper’s Plumbing and Air is a heating, air conditioning and plumbing company in Bainbridge, Georgia, USA. The company has enjoyed double digit growth, even in this economy, and we have exciting and aggressive growth plans. We play hard as a team, and when we win, we celebrate, too. We’re a supportive, fun, open environment that’s led by strategic managers and the owner who are creative, appreciative and just plain smart.

Who will succeed in this role? Someone who’s curious and a quick learner, enthusiastic and energetic, is very organized and loves detail, and is a team player. These qualities are non-negotiable, because they’re things we can’t teach. What is negotiable is your background (knowledge of the service trades isn’t necessary), your level of experience (as long as you have the years and poise to do the job – see below), and your education (it’s not critical that you were a marketing major, as long as marketing has been your chosen line of work).

This is primarily a tactical position in which you’ll be responsible for executing a comprehensive, well-thought-through marketing plan. New ideas are certainly welcomed and encouraged, but implementation is required. This means we need a confident, experienced, seasoned person who can manage the work of a host of marketing agencies.

You’ll execute all aspects of Cooper’s marketing plan, including direct mail (production, list purchasing, mailing and tracking); printed materials (business cards, yard signs), social media (creative development, media planning and buying, and tracking); trade shows, email marketing, community and cause marketing (for example, breast cancer awareness), and much more.

We need someone who 1) Understands and loves the details of print, broadcast and internet production, and can 2) Effectively manage creative development and media planning/buying, 3) Track and analyze results, 4) Manage all aspects of trade shows, 5) Partner with sales team to identify and create sales support materials, and 6) Interface with employees throughout organization to gain new ideas and feedback. We’ll also ask you to keep our staff up-to-date on marketing initiatives and you’ll report directly to the owner but will work closely with all employees.
