Job Summary:
The Marketing Copywriter is responsible for creating compelling content for various inbound, outbound and product/solution- oriented projects for varying personas, using power position messaging, Iron Mountain brand guidelines and best practices for driving results. This person will collaborate with subject matter experts and both in-house and external Design to create initiatives that are clear, actionable and concise for multiple output channels including web and social media. Must have at least 3 years of experience in : BLOG POST COPY, VIDEO SCRIPT, SALES PAGE COPY, and EMAIL NEWSLETTER COPY
Key Responsibilities:
Create compelling, action-oriented business-to-business (B2B) content that is based on a solid interpretation of comprehensive messaging guide provided by subject matter experts for different audiences that increases conversions, offer downloads and revenue. This content will take the form of email, direct mail, web page copy, datasheets, social media outlets including blogs, Facebook and Twitter, as well as similar marketing documents for external use.
Create and modify copy using power positioning language and based on best practices. Provide strong proofreading to all projects.
Liaise with outside vendors to ensure a robust and consistent array of creative representation for the Iron Mountain Marketing Team regardless of whether the work was done in-house or out-sourced.
Functional Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:
Must be highly skilled in English, Communication, Creative Writing, Journalism, Marketing or other related field.
Successful candidate will have 2-4 years business-to-business copywriting experience (corporate or agency).
Must have working knowledge of personal computing, using Microsoft OS, including Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Microsoft Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. Must be a quick learner for technology aspects in dealing with workflow systems.
Experience with Corporate Vision’s power positioning methodology preferred but not mandatory if strong writing and quick learning skills are present.
Strong command of, and ability to integrate, a broad set of marketing disciplines including but not limited to: brand, market assessment, database marketing, relationship marketing, web marketing, collateral and sales tools.
Portfolio required for candidates who are selected for interview and must submit portfolio samples or web URL that illustrates candidate’s experience.
The successful candidate will have a strong achievement orientation, solid planning and excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated results in a matrixed organization.
Must be an independent self-starter with a sense of urgency and a strong desire to be part of creative team. Requires an affinity for producing consistently high-quality work and yield with a customer focus.
Creative thinking, critical analysis and problem-solving skills, along with flexibility/adaptability are essential – must possess comfort in a rapidly changing environment with competing and shifting priorities.
Team-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor plus fluid communication and presentation skills.
Business Expertise: The person who fills this position must understand the revenue and market share impacts of their program efforts.

The role is expected to bring innovative solutions to the broad range of complex problems facing the organization. Ability to frame issues in clear, logical constructs, utilize segment knowledge and conceptual thinking is critical.
Nature of Impact: This role owns targeting and the creation of customer facing assets. They are also responsible to ensure sufficient demand is created for their segment and area of responsibility.
Area of Impact: Marketing for all service lines
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships quickly. Need to be able to leverage these relationships to sell ideas and complete projects quickly.
Internal relationships will span the organization in both seniority (C-Level to staff) and business function. There will be a particularly close relationship between all marketing departments and creative production project managers.
External relationships will include outside consultants and creative agencies.
Strong team work and ability to prioritize.
