Black Women Talk Tech (BWTT) is a collective of Black women tech founders who have a unique understanding of the challenges we face in the industry, but also of the advantages we can bring. We’re here to identify, support, and encourage Black women to build the next billion-dollar businesses. Through our annual programming, events, and membership community, with a strong following, we aim to normalize the Black woman founder through education, promotion, and funding.

Description
As Marketing Coordinator, you will be tasked with supporting the day-to-day marketing initiatives of Black Women Talk Tech and our brands. Your goal is to work with each staff member to ensure our marketing needs are met to the highest company expectations. You will help to develop, produce and execute the marketing and communications plan activities including content, media, promotions, website, and collateral materials. To do so, you will have the support of the entire organization from marketing to operations. Your work will supercharge the team’s activities. This position will report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with the entire BWTT executive leadership team.
Responsibilities
Support the Senior Marketing Manager in establishing and evaluating the overall marketing strategy for BWTT brands
Develop branded materials to deliver the organization’s messages to the public and the media
Create original content to tell the brand story of Black Women Talk Tech, and educate Black Women seeking access to and elevation in the tech industry
Track and maintain reports on the results of marketing campaigns, and analyze and present opportunities for improvement
Update the marketing calendar to ensure visibility of upcoming initiatives and programs across the organization
Coordinate programs and support of the various stages of event development: timelines, committee assignments, and responsibilities, event details, event execution, post-event details, and financial tracking
Work with BWTT project manager to ensure timely and successful completion of marketing deliverables
Participate in and support marketing initiatives including, conferences, virtual events, & social media activations
Assist in the management of BWTT vendors and agencies
Qualifications
Exemplary problem solving, communication, and presentation skills.
Must have a high degree of poise and professionalism when interacting with internal and external contacts.
Tech-savvy. Experience working with Hubspot GSuite (Docs, Sheets, Slides), Slack, Asana, and CRM interfaces. General knowledge of the tech space from a business standpoint.
A self-starter, organized, and able to think critically and provide solutions
Demonstration of experience managing volunteers and/or committees
Marketing experience or demonstration of a strong grasp of basic marketing concepts
HOURS: Part-time 30 hours a week $3000 Monthly
