Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mason Estimator to join our dynamic team. The Mason Estimator will be responsible for accurately estimating the cost and resources needed for various masonry projects. This role requires a deep understanding of masonry work, including planning, color matching, shop drawings, and the integration of masonry doors. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning: Develop detailed project plans and schedules for masonry work, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project timelines.
• Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment required for masonry projects.
• Color Coordination: Select and recommend appropriate colors and finishes for masonry projects, ensuring aesthetic consistency and client satisfaction.
• Shop Drawings: Review and interpret shop drawings to ensure compliance with design specifications and project standards.
• Masonry Doors: Estimate and coordinate the installation of masonry doors, ensuring seamless integration into overall project plans.
• Vendor and Supplier Management: Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services.
• Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed bid proposals, including cost breakdowns, project timelines, and required resources.
• Client Interaction: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide project updates, and address any concerns or changes.
• Quality Control: Ensure all masonry work meets high standards of quality and adheres to relevant codes and regulations.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and organized records of all estimates, project plans, and related documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in masonry estimation or a similar role within the construction industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimation software (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift), Microsoft Office Suite, and AutoCAD.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of masonry techniques, materials, and construction processes.
• Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and mathematical skills to produce accurate estimates and analyze project costs.
• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients, team members, and vendors.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
• Problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.
