Role Overview:
The Material Sourcing Specialist will be instrumental in analyzing our current material costs and finding more cost-effective alternatives. Your goal will be to negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best price and terms, ensuring that our construction projects remain both high-quality and economically viable.
Key Responsibilities:
– Analyze existing material costs and specifications to identify opportunities for savings.
– Source and negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal prices and quality for construction materials.
– Stay updated on market trends and product innovations relevant to the construction industry.
– Collaborate with our project management team to align material specifications with project requirements.
– Prepare detailed comparison reports to illustrate potential savings and recommendations.
– Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and issue resolution.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience in procurement or material sourcing within the construction industry.
– Excellent negotiation skills with a proven record of securing cost reductions.
– Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for detailed data analysis and reporting.
– Fluent in English, with both strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Spanish speaking is a plus!
– Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
– Knowledge of the U.S. construction materials market is highly desirable.
