Position: Materials Estimator
Employment Type: Full-time, Night Shift (Vancouver Timezone)

Job Description:
As a Materials Estimator at New City Contracting, you will play a crucial role in our project planning and execution process. Your primary responsibility will be to accurately estimate materials required for building envelope projects during the night shift. This position requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to meet deadlines. Responsibilities:
Perform accurate material take-offs and estimates for building envelope projects during the night shift.
Collaborate with project managers and architects to understand project requirements and specifications.
Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other project documents to determine material quantities.
Conduct research and stay updated on industry standards, material costs, and new construction technologies.
Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to gather pricing and availability information.
Prepare comprehensive reports and present estimates to the project team for review and approval.
Ensure timely completion of estimates within project deadlines.
Collaborate with the procurement team to assist with material procurement as needed.

Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a materials estimator in the construction industry
Strong knowledge of construction materials, their applications, and associated costs.
Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications, and other construction documents.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with team members, suppliers, and subcontractors.
Ability to work independently and efficiently during night shifts.
Flexibility to start within the next 2 weeks upon hiring.
Must have a stable internet connection and a working Windows-based laptop/desktop
