JOB ROLE – MECHANICAL / STRUCTURAL DRAFTSMAN

Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical or Structural Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing design models, generating drawings, and ensuring accurate and efficient communication of project details to clients. Proficiency in BricsCAD and AutoCAD is essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare design models, primarily focusing on mechanical components and structural steelwork, using BricsCAD and AutoCAD.
Present various types of drawings, including General Arrangements, Layouts, Detail Drawings, and Fabrication Drawings.
Create DXF files for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project requirements.
Maintain excellent English and communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Keep accurate and honest timesheet records, submitting them to Apex admin every Friday afternoon.
Participate in a 15-30 minute MS Teams call each morning to review and discuss daily tasks.
Provide a written summary via email at the end of each business day, outlining the achievements for the day.
Work within Brisbane QLD working hours (GMT+10), Monday to Friday, with a willingness to negotiate flexible working hours for the right candidate.
Requirements:

Qualification in engineering or drafting will be viewed favorably.
Ideally, possess 10+ years of experience in similar roles.
Proficient use of CAD programs, specifically BricsCAD and AutoCAD.
Must have a laptop and good internet speed.

– Must not be currently employed full time elsewhere.
