Media Manager -Podcast Editing – Short Form Video Editing & YouTube/Social Media Management

MUST possess skills in Social Media, YouTube promotion, Short form video editing, AND Podcast (audio) editing to be considered for this position. It is okay if you need to build in one area, but must be familiar and ready to do all. IIf skills are only in one area please do not apply.

Looking for an experienced Podcast Editor as your primary roll will be to edit 4-6 podcasts a week. This includes adding into/outro music, editing out filler words, editing cross-talk, adjusting proper sound levels of tracks, taking out background noises, optimizing sound quality, etc. Preference given to someone who already has access to tools they are familiar and comfortable with and can quickly, efficiently edit.
You will also be running podcast video clips for 4 podcasts through software and putting final touches on videos to add to social media for podcast promotion.
You will also be posting one podcast to YouTube and in charge of keywords and promotion for this podcast.
Some social media scheduling may be incorporated required.
Strong communication skills required (including when further supports are needed), ability to take direction, works independently once they receive direction, accurately forecasts time needed for project completion, prioritizes tasks, and respond well to feedback.
Please provide specifics on which sound editing tools you have access to, which sound editing tools you have experience in, how long you have been editing podcasts, your availability (whether you are interested in eventually moving into a full-time position or only part-time) and any salary expectations.
Competitive candidates will be paid to do a test edit of a short (12-17 min.) podcast to demonstrate their skills. Evaluation will not only be on the quality of the finished product, but in their ability to deliver it according to the expectations set, and the reasonableness of time to complete the task/achieve those results.
At this stage, someone able to edit short form video and experienced with YouTube will be paid a higher rate and considered for additional hours.
This is a contract relationship with a small US based business that is intent on amplifying the number of women in podcasting. Less than 1/3 of podcasts are hosted by women and it is the mission of this business to take the tech and stress out of podcasting (in the most affordable way) for women so they can focus on the parts of podcasting they enjoy most.
