We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail and accuracy in claims processing, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with team members, insurance companies, and patients.

Duties and Responsibilities:
– Utilize proficient understanding of CPT & ICD-10 coding and medical billing procedures to accurately prepare and submit medical insurance claims.
– Demonstrate knowledge of insurance claim submission processes and reimbursement practices to ensure timely reimbursement.
– Verify and review claim information for completeness and compliance with billing regulations.
– Record and reconcile payments received from insurance companies and patients.
– Ensure accurate posting of payments and adjustments in the billing system.
– Collaborate effectively with team members, insurance companies, and patients to resolve any billing discrepancies or issues.
– Managing insurance and patient Accounts Receivable (A/R), resolving billing discrepancies, addressing insurance denials and rejections by sending claims for reprocessing and/or submitting corrected claims/appeals as necessary.
– Credentialing for major insurance companies for in-network and out-of-network providers under the client’s NPI (including VA network).
– Ensure Insurance Contracts Negotiation
– Ensure Hospital & Payor Credentialing
Requirements
– Proven experience as a Medical Biller or Medical Administrative Assistant in a healthcare setting, preferably in a medical massage clinic or related field.
– Proficiency in medical billing and coding procedures, including knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes relevant to medical massage services.
– Credentialing for major insurance companies for in-network and out-of-network providers under the client’s NPI (including VA network).
– Experience with electronic billing systems and medical billing software for submitting claims, processing payments, and managing patient accounts.
– Knowledge and experience in verifying patient insurance coverage and eligibility for medical massage services, including familiarity with various insurance plans and authorization requirements.
– Ability to communicate effectively with insurance companies and third-party payers to obtain pre-authorizations and verify coverage for treatment.
– Ability to generate and send patient statements, process payments, and follow up on outstanding balances or delinquent accounts.
– Experience in handling patient inquiries and concerns related to billing, insurance coverage, and payment options with professionalism and empathy.
– Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems to enter patient information, update treatment records, and document billing and coding information accurately.
– Ability to provide administrative support to the clinic, including answering phones, greeting patients, and assisting with front desk duties as needed.
– Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in managing administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and correspondence.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally and effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
– Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and safeguarding patient information at all times.
– Willingness to pursue ongoing training and certification in medical billing and coding, as well as other relevant areas of healthcare administration, to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
– Willing to work in the Pacific Time (PST) schedule (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM PST).
– With own Laptop or Desktop (8GB RAM, Core 5 or above & Microsoft Office) with an internet connection of at least 10mbps.
