We are a leader in Medical Billing services in Colorado, and we are looking to expand our team! We are looking for a tried-and-true professional who has a proven track record of results in claim resolution and recouping revenue for their clients. We need a critical thinker who is familiar with full cycle billing who can take that knowledge to work on different A/R projects for our clientele utilizing payer tools, provider protocols as well as company protocol. We need a dynamic, aggressive go-getter who can review accounts on aging reports/system work queues, and work in a meticulous, organized manner. Goals are to help maintain A/R on client accounts to company standards. Must have excellent written communication skills, as documentation on accounts must be clear and concise, as well as language for appeals/corrections for maximum claim resolution.
Must be able to read an EOB and understand the language used by payers; must have a keen eye in order to recognize/monitor trends, and make recommendations to Billing Manager to improve performance and processes. Proactively problem solve claim issues. Must also be comfortable with the “soft collections” process of calling patients/families on past due balances.
Ability to adapt to multiple EHR/PM systems is a must! Cross training on clinic billing processes will be given as well to better perform duties.
Qualifications/Requirements:
– Minimum 3 years Medical Billing experience.
– Minimum 3 years experience with insurance medical claims follow up.
– Ability to identify claims issues, rejections and post to A/R.
– Strong ability to read and understand EOB’s and claim correspondence, including ability to locate payer policies and act within payer guidelines for claim resolution.
– Critical thinking and attention to detail is a must.
– Excellent verbal and written communications are required, especially as it relates to noting accounts and claims appeals.
– Must be organized in order to maintain proper follow up.
– Will work closely with Billing Manager on assigned projects.
