Position: Medical Billing Specialist

As a virtual medical assistant at Healthcare Virtual, you’ll be an integral part of supporting healthcare practices in the US from a remote location. You’ll provide essential administrative and operational assistance to healthcare providers, helping them streamline their operations and focus on delivering quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare and submit medical claims,
Follow up on claim status
Resolve billing issues
Ensure compliance with billing regulations and standards.
Outbound and Inbound phone calls with Patients
Patient Collections

Required Skills and Qualifications:
Prior experience in medical billing is a must
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare regulations, and administrative procedures.
Excellent English language skills in order to communicate effectively and strong interpersonal skills for interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and insurance companies.
Proficiency in using healthcare management software, electronic health record systems, medical billing software, and common office software (MS Office, Excel).
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Preferred Skills:
College diploma in a medical field or equivalent; additional education in healthcare administration or medical billing is a plus
Familiarity with medical coding systems
HIPPA certified
