Job Description

I am looking for someone who is a skilled Medical Coder/Data Labeler to join our team. As a Medical Coder/Data Labeler, you will be responsible for accurately assigning medical codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services for proper reimbursement and statistical purposes. Additionally, you will be responsible for labeling and annotating medical data for training machine learning algorithms and improving healthcare technologies. The role requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and proficiency in utilizing technology to ensure accurate and efficient data processing.

I will create tutorials for you for almost all of the tasks you will be doing.

– Some tasks you will do to help my company, DictateMD:

Label and identify medical terminology in medical notes.
Determine if analysis done on a medial note is correct or not.
Provide reasoning using proper medical rule sets (CMS, ICD, CPT) of why or why not a medical note was written correctly.
Communicate your results effectively and efficiently to me as well as the DictateMD team.
The most important skills for this job are strong written English communication skills and strong medical coding knowledge.

Tech-savviness: Proficient in using coding software, electronic health record systems, and other relevant technologies. Comfortable with learning and adapting to new technologies and tools.
Compliance knowledge: Familiarity with healthcare coding guidelines, regulations (e.g., HIPAA), and industry standards.
Attention to detail: Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while working with complex medical documentation.
Analytical skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to review and interpret medical documentation accurately. Ability to identify inconsistencies and resolve coding discrepancies.
Data confidentiality and security: Adhere to strict data confidentiality and security protocols to protect patient privacy and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Medical coding expertise: Strong knowledge of medical coding systems, such as ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and familiarity with medical terminology. Relevant certification (e.g., CCS, CPC) is preferred.

– Pay: TBD. This will depend on your level of skill and other people that apply for the job
I am looking for a full-time employee.
– You can work whenever you want as long as you have at least four hours of overlap with US Eastern business hours (07:00 – 21:30 in UTC – 04:00) Monday – Friday
