Job Description

Primary Functions:
• Primary POC for the Coding team
• Maintain effective client relationships and build client trust.
• Participate in the onboarding of new clients following established processes, collaborating with the appropriate functions to ensure a successful launch.
• Manage hybrid (mostly remote) teams of coders and support staff ensuring they are engaged and maintain acceptable performance levels (productivity and quality).
• Monitors and reports technical issues.
• Set the example for the department as the expert in accurate thorough and effective work processes.
• Lead the day-to-day operations of the projects/processes assigned by monitoring and analyzing dashboards, productivity reports.
• Review staff schedules with leads including individual performance evaluations, employee issues, and administer disciplinary action when necessary.
• Understand company policies, vision, and functions and effectively communicate and collaborate internally to achieve business results including regular team meetings to foster intra-team communications and connections.
• Recommend, develop, and implement process improvements as indicated.
• Manage unit’s resource allocation (Capacity Planning); Identify project, process and people challenges early and initiate appropriate action to address.
• Manage financial outcomes (costs) for existing projects/processes and reporting on results.
• Manage client reporting, feedback loop, EOM reporting, and trend analysis to include bell curve, CPT and ICD10 frequency shifts, provider documentation changes and client impact
• Manage Departmental KPI reports that are essential to management and other stakeholders.
• Participate as a member of management team and provide feedback on processes for improvement
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Physical Therapy, Medical Technology, Occupational Therapy, Pharmacy
• At least 2 years’ relevant experience working for medical coding team and US -Based stakeholders
• Background in professional or physician’s-based coding
• Experience in handling at least 10 people in the team
• Experience in workforce planning, sourcing, onboarding, and oversight
Additional Qualifications:
• At least 2 years of Medical Coding experience preferred
• AAPC CPC certification prefer
• MS Excel and presentation skills is a plus
• Familiarity in running a report, interpret data and make decisions out of it is an advantage
• Knowledge Level on RCM (from outside)
