Responsibilities:
– Manage the end-to-end insurance credentialing process for physical therapy practitioners.
– Ensure timely submission of credentialing applications to insurance providers.
– Liaise with insurance companies to follow up on the status of applications and resolve any issues.
– Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance credentialing requirements and industry regulations.
– Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary documentation for credentialing.
– Keep accurate records of credentialing status and updates in our system.
– Assist in the preparation of reports related to credentialing status and timelines.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as an Insurance Credentialing Specialist, preferably in the healthcare or physical therapy industry.
– In-depth knowledge of insurance credentialing processes, policies, and regulations.
– Familiarity with insurance terminology and coding related to physical therapy.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with insurance providers.
– Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities.
– Ability to work independently and remotely while maintaining high productivity levels.
Requirements:
– Minimum of 1 year of experience in insurance credentialing, preferably for physical therapy practices.
– Proficiency in using credentialing software and Microsoft Office applications.
– Knowledge of billing and coding processes related to physical therapy services is a PLUS but not required
– Previous experience working in a remote or virtual environment.
– Availability for regular virtual meetings and collaboration with team members.
