We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Office Coordinator to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for managing administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our medical office. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of medical office procedures, and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Patient Coordination: Schedule and confirm patient appointments, manage patient records, and ensure all necessary documentation is complete.

Administrative Support: Provide administrative support to medical staff, including managing calendars, handling correspondence, and preparing reports.

Billing and Coding: Assist with medical billing and coding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.

Customer Service: Serve as the first point of contact for patients, addressing inquiries and providing information on office procedures.

Data Management: Maintain and update electronic health records (EHR) systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality.

Insurance Coordination: Verify patient insurance information, process claims, and follow up on outstanding claims.

Communication: Facilitate communication between patients, medical staff, and insurance companies.

Compliance: Ensure the office complies with all relevant regulations, including HIPAA, and maintain patient confidentiality.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical administration is a plus.
Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably in a coordination or administrative role.
Proficiency with medical office software and EHR systems.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with medical terminology and billing/coding procedures.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
