Position: Medical Scribe & Billing

Rate: $4/hour

Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Schedule: Eastern Standard Time (EST)

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Medical Scribe & Billing professional. In this role, you will assist healthcare providers in documenting patient encounters, ensuring accurate and timely recording of medical information. Additionally, you will handle billing responsibilities, ensuring that all invoicing and insurance-related tasks are completed efficiently.

Responsibilities:

Accurately record patient history, physical exams, procedures, and treatments as dictated by healthcare providers.
Enter and maintain medical records and patient information in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Assist in coding and billing procedures, ensuring adherence to regulatory and insurance guidelines.
Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and insurance companies to resolve billing issues and inquiries.
Review and verify insurance information, obtaining necessary authorizations, and processing claims.
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling sensitive patient data.
Collaborate with the healthcare team to streamline documentation and billing processes for optimal efficiency.
Requirements:

Previous experience in medical scribing and/or billing preferred but not required.
Familiarity with workers’ compensation, personal injury, and insurance processes is a plus.
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and documentation.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Understanding of medical terminology and procedures.
Note: The rate offered is $4/hour. Full-time availability (40 hours per week) during EST hours is required.
