Medical Transcriptionist – Virtual Assistant (VA)

Job Description:

As a Medical Transcriptionist, you will play a crucial role in our practice by transcribing medical documents related to physical therapy services. We are seeking a candidate with experience in medical transcription, preferably someone who has worked with physical therapy offices before. This position is open for remote work within the Philippines.

Key Responsibilities:

– Transcribe medical reports, progress notes, and other documentation related to physical therapy services.
– Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of all transcribed information.
– Familiarize yourself with medical terminology and abbreviations specific to physical therapy.
– Work closely with our physiotherapy team to clarify any ambiguous or incomplete dictations.
– Maintain organized and secure electronic records of transcribed documents.
– Review and edit transcribed documents to ensure grammatical and formatting accuracy.
– Prioritize and manage transcription assignments to meet deadlines.
– Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless documentation flow.

Qualifications:
1. Previous experience in medical transcription, with a preference for candidates who have worked in physical therapy offices.
2. Proficiency in English language and grammar.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Knowledge of medical terminology and the ability to quickly learn physical therapy-specific terminology.
5. Excellent listening skills to accurately transcribe audio recordings.
6. Proficiency in using transcription software and equipment.
7. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote work environment.
8. High level of professionalism and adherence to strict confidentiality standards.
