We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Virtual Assistant with ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) experience. In this role, you will provide administrative support to a medical practice specializing in addiction medicine, assisting doctors and patients with their needs.
Position: Medical Virtual Assistant (ASAM experience)
Full Time 40 hrs/week
Pay: $5.00 / hour
Willing to work on EST Hours
Responsibilities:
– Answer incoming calls and take detailed messages
– Communicate with patients and doctors
– Schedule and manage appointments
– Assist with medical billing and insurance verification
– Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
– Provide general administrative support to the medical team
– Knowledge of ASAM criteria and experience with documenting substance abuse assessments and treatment plans
– Translate documents and assist with language interpretation as needed
Requirements:
– Previous experience as a medical virtual assistant or in a similar role
– Experience with ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) criteria and documenting substance abuse assessments and treatment plans
– Understanding of mental health
– Experience with live reviews of IOP, PHP and Detox treatment.
– Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
– Fluent in English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring proper record-keeping and documentation
– Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain professional relationships with patients and healthcare professionals.
