Position Overview:
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated individuals to join our team as Medical Virtual Assistants under the Global Pacific Support department. As a Medical Virtual Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative and clerical support to healthcare professionals and organizations. You will be responsible for handling a wide range of tasks efficiently and effectively to ensure seamless operations and exceptional service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Communication: Manage inbound and outbound calls, emails, and messages from patients, addressing inquiries, scheduling appointments, and providing general assistance as needed.
Appointment Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule appointments, consultations, and follow-up visits for patients, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in scheduling processes.
Medical Records Management: Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations and protocols.
Billing and Insurance: Assist in processing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance coverage, and handling billing inquiries to facilitate smooth financial transactions.
Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to healthcare professionals, including data entry, document management, and organizing medical reports and correspondence.
Patient Education: Offer basic information and resources to patients regarding medical procedures, treatments, medications, and preventive healthcare practices.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate effectively with healthcare providers, administrative staff, and other team members to streamline workflows and enhance patient satisfaction.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a virtual assistant or administrative assistant, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a professional and empathetic demeanor.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
Proficiency in using technology and software applications, including EMR systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and healthcare regulations is highly desirable.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines and other regulatory requirements.
Flexible schedule availability to accommodate varying shifts and workload demands.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in medical administration or related fields are a plus.
