Medical Virtual Assistant

Auxiliary Outsourcing is seeking a compassionate and experienced Medical Nurse Triage to join our dedicated healthcare team. As a Medical Nurse Triage, you will play a crucial role in providing efficient and accurate medical assessments and guidance to patients remotely. Your expertise and quick decision-making skills will be essential in determining the appropriate level of care required for patients based on their symptoms and medical history.

Position: Medical Nurse Triage (USRN only)
Location: Work from home

Responsibilities:

– Conduct thorough and efficient telephone or virtual assessments of patients’ symptoms, complaints, and medical history.
– Provide accurate and timely triage to determine the urgency of patient needs and direct them to appropriate healthcare resources.
– Utilize clinical judgment and evidence-based protocols to assess and prioritize patients based on the severity of their conditions.
– Provide appropriate medical advice, recommendations, and education to patients and their caregivers.
– Collaborate effectively with healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and other support staff, to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
– Document all patient interactions, assessments, and recommendations accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record (EMR) system.
– Follow established protocols, guidelines, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and patient safety.
– Stay updated with medical advancements, research, and best practices related to triage nursing.
– Do other related admin tasks as needed by the doctor.

Requirements:

– Active and unrestricted US Registered Nurse (RN) license.
– Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting.
– Experience in telephone triage or telehealth nursing is highly preferred.
– In-depth knowledge of medical conditions, symptoms, and treatment options across various specialties.
– Strong assessment and critical thinking skills to make accurate and timely decisions.
– Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
– Proficient computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
– Ability to work independently, handle high-pressure situations, and prioritize tasks efficiently.
– Compassion, empathy, and a patient-centered approach to healthcare.
– Strong work ethics, professionalism, and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
– Reliable internet connection and access to a suitable home office setup.

Minimum System Requirements

– Processor: ICore-i3 quad core or equivalent/CPU Benchmark score of 2600 and above
– Memory: 8GB RAM (for both primary and back-up computers)
– Available hard disc drive space: At least 1GB (for both primary and back-up computers)
– Windows OS: Windows 8 or later
– Mac OS: Mac OS X 10.8 or later

What you will get:
– Hourly rate: $9 per hour.
– Weekend Off
– Schedule is between 4PM – 7AM EST
– Full Time (40 hours a week / 8 Hours a day)
– Weekly Payout
– Health Card after 6 months
