Short Story is seeking a dedicated, detail oriented Merchandise Associate to join our dynamic team. As Merchandise Associate, you will be an integral part of our Merchandising Team. You will complete various data entry tasks related to item and purchase order creation and maintenance. Our ideal candidate has exceptional attention to detail and is passionate about fashion and e-commerce.
You will be responsible for:
– Data Entry: Accurately enter product information into our database system. Ensure all data is up-to-date and error-free.
Item Set Up: Accurately enter product information and pricing into our database system. Ensure all data is up-to-date and error-free.
– Product Catalog Maintenance: Collaborate with the Merchandise Team to update and maintain the product catalog, ensuring product descriptions, images, and other relevant information are current and accurate.
– Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on product data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify and address any discrepancies or issues promptly.
– Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with the merchandise team in San Francisco. Provide regular updates on tasks, projects, and any challenges encountered.
– Ad Hoc Support: Provide support to the merchandise team as needed, including assisting with special projects, conducting research, and performing other administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications:
– Four-year degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
– Fluent in English
– 2+ years of experience with data entry in English
– Exceptional writing skills
– High attention to detail
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) or G Suite (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides)
– Must be flexible and able to wear many hats
Other Qualifications:
– 2+ years of experience merchandising for an apparel company preferred
– Familiarity with Slack and Airtable
– Previous experience working in e-commerce or a tech startup is a plus
– You thrive in fast-moving environments where you will move quickly
– You are energetic and ready to be on-the-go
– Eager to learn and excited to help build a company from the ground up
Schedule and Location:
– Remote
– This will be a Full-Time, 40 hours/week role (may include some weekend and evening hours)
