We are currently seeking a skilled Microsoft Access Programmer to develop, manage, and optimize our database systems for cataloging ACES (Aftermarket Catalog Exchange Standard) data, ensuring efficient data management and reporting.

Job Description:

Position Summary:
The Microsoft Access Programmer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Access databases specifically for cataloging ACES data in the auto industry. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, experience with database programming, and a deep understanding of the ACES data standard. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who can manage data effectively and ensure seamless database operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Database Development:

Design, develop, and implement Microsoft Access databases to support the cataloging of ACES data.
Create and manage tables, queries, forms, and reports to meet industry-specific requirements.
Develop custom Access applications to automate data entry, processing, and reporting tasks related to ACES data.
Data Management:

Ensure data integrity and accuracy by implementing data validation and quality control measures for ACES data.
Perform regular data maintenance tasks, including data imports, exports, and backups.
Optimize database performance through indexing, query optimization, and regular maintenance.
ACES Data Handling:

Manage and organize ACES data to ensure accurate and comprehensive product cataloging.
Develop and maintain processes for importing, validating, and exporting ACES data.
Collaborate with industry partners and data providers to ensure ACES data standards are met.
Reporting and Analysis:

Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to provide insights into key business metrics related to ACES data.
Create complex queries and data analysis tools to support decision-making processes.
Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver actionable insights.
Integration and Automation:

Integrate Access databases with other systems and applications to streamline data flow.
Develop automated processes for data collection, transformation, and reporting of ACES data.
Utilize VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) to enhance database functionality and automate repetitive tasks.
Technical Support:

Provide technical support and training to end-users to ensure effective use of Access databases.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues promptly.
Document database structures, processes, and procedures for future reference.
Compliance and Security:

Implement data security measures to protect sensitive information.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
Conduct regular audits to ensure database security and integrity.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Microsoft Access Programmer, preferably in the auto industry.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Access, including VBA programming.
Experience with database design, development, and maintenance.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent understanding of SQL and relational database principles.
Familiarity with ACES data standards and cataloging processes.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Knowledge of other database systems (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL) is a plus.
