We manufacture optical lenses as well as supply our clients with frame + lens packages, instruments, and marketing services. We have also developed our own software solution for practices.
About this Job:
Opticare is currently seeking an experienced and highly motivated Mid to Senior- Level PHP Developer who will provide support to our business in developing and maintaining our various web app development projects. The successful candidate will be working alongside other developers in our team, spearheaded by our IT Manager, in completing an SaaS project, a Practice Management Software for optical clinics.
You have to be results-oriented, time-conscious, organised, and professional, most especially because you will be working as part of a remote team.
We also prefer someone who can render about 2-3 hours within Sydney business hours, although we require you to complete 20 to 30 hours per week.
This job is good for three months. If we are happy, we can extend up to the 6th month.
You will need to follow a milestone with a clearly defined task list.
Requirements and qualifications:
1. 5 years of PHP development experience or more.
2. 3+ years Laravel/Code Ignite.
3. 2+ PostgreSQL experience.
4. 3+ years Javascript – AngularJS/ReactJS.
5. 2+ years CSS.
6. Big project (150+ tables) work experience.
7. Experience in Jira and Confluence.
8. Previous experience in developing an SaaS software is a plus.
9. Perform unit, functional, and integration tests, and resolve trouble tickets.
10. Self-motivated; can work with minimal supervision but is ready with reports/updates whenever asked.
11. Good communication skills, both oral and verbal.
12. Conscious of project timelines, with good time management skills, and is able to consistently meet deadlines.
13. Ability to multi-task.
14. Participate in design discussions, reviews, and meetings.
15. Pro-active, high attention to detail, professional, and time-conscious.
16. Collaborative – integrates information across the company
17. High level of integrity, confidentiality, & accountability.
18. Always willing to learn and to be mentored.
19. Able to attend at least one team update meeting within a week.
20. Is willing to do a preliminary test with us as part of the screening process.
