JOB DESCRIPTION
YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE A NMLS # IN THE US.
We are hiring a licensed Mortgage Loan Officer (MLO) to join our remote sales team and work with inbound leads generated from our platform. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in high volume mortgage sales and pipeline management, and a passion for helping homeowners navigate the complexities of mortgage financing – specifically, accessing their home equity.
In this role, you will help homeowners access their home equity, which includes evaluating: (1) home equity loans; (2) home equity lines of credit (HELOCs); (3) cash-out refinancings; (4) reverse mortgages; and (5) home equity investments (also known as equity sharing).
To accomplish this, you’ll combine a deep understanding of each of these products and the homeowners goals and financial picture, with the available terms and eligibility requirements from our partners for each product. Don’t worry – we are developing a proprietary technology platform to streamline this process for you and our customers.

This role is a contract-to-hire position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
– High volume outbound sales, to contact, engage, assist and close warm leads generated from our platform. You’ll work directly with homeowners to answer their questions and guide them to the best home equity product for them.
– Analyze homeowners’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine ensure they qualify for the applicable home equity product.
– Educate homeowners about different types of home equity products that are available to them, as well as the terms of those services. This includes (1) home equity loans; (2) home equity lines of credit (HELOCs); (3) cash-out refinancings; (4) reverse mortgages; and (5) home equity investments (also known as equity sharing).
– Compile and submit complete loan applications to our lender partners, as a broker, ensuring all necessary documents are included.
– Maintain regular contact with homeowners to ensure a smooth loan process, from application to closing.
– Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Stay up-to-date on product offerings, qualifying parameters and process changes.
– Meet monthly performance metrics.
REQUIREMENTS
– A true “hunter” mentality, with strong sales, negotiation, and analytical skills.
– Active NMLS and at least one U.S. state license.
– Minimum 2 years of mortgage sales experience.
– SPANISH proficiency is a HUGE plus!
– Comprehensive understanding of second mortgages (home equity loans, HELOCS, cash-out refinances).
– Comprehensive understanding of, or eagerness to learn about, home equity investments (aka equity sharing) and reverse mortgages.
– Experience with CRMs, like Hubspot or Salesforce.
– Excellent communication and customer service skills.
– High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
– The ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting.
– YOU MUST ALREADY HAVE A NMLS # IN THE US.
