Job Title: Mortgage Underwriter Specialist
Position Overview:?We are seeking a skilled Mortgage Underwriter Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in residential mortgage loan operations, with the ability to analyze income documents, input data accurately into loan application software, and utilize loan origination software such as Calyx Point.
Responsibilities:?- Scrutinize US individual income documents (W2s, pay stubs, tax returns – 1040s, 1065s, 1120s, and 1120Ss) to extract relevant information for input into our loan application software.?- Interpret 1040 forms and determine income according to FNMA and Freddie Mac guidelines.?- Analyze mortgage statements from applicants and accurately input pertinent information into our loan application software.?- Utilize loan origination software (LOS) such as Calyx Point to manage loan applications and streamline the lending process.?- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of loan applications.?- Assist in importing loans from our software to various lenders’ platforms, with a willingness to undergo training as necessary.
Requirements:?- Proven experience in residential mortgage loan operations, including a thorough understanding of income document analysis.?- Proficiency in reading and interpreting US individual income documents and tax returns.?- Familiarity with mortgage statement analysis and data input processes.?- Expertise in loan origination software, specifically Calyx Point.?- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.?- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.?- Ability to adapt to changing procedures and software platforms.
Work hours: 9am to 5pm EST
Full time, Monday through Friday.
