Gearank Group is an Australian-based online media company now in our 25th year of business. We publish information on live performance, studio recording, and music equipment, which you will be working on.
and are leading providers of ratings and recommendations for music equipment. We strive to provide the most thoroughly researched information about music gear. We tell readers which items are best for a particular musical purpose and report on the music communities’ likes and dislikes of individual products.
We have proprietary tools and systems within our content management system (CMS), for which we will provide training so that you will be able to understand and conduct product research. The work we do affects the purchasing decisions of thousands of musicians around the world, with a particular emphasis on those who live in the USA.
The successful applicant will be responsible for writing and editing new and existing articles in collaboration with a small team. All topics are centered around musical instruments and equipment. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn advanced SEO and the use of WordPress as our website CMS.
You with be trained in using SurferSEO, Grammarly, Hemingway, and other associated tools.
The following requirements are mandatory:
• Experience as a Musician, Producer, Audio Engineer, or DJ – either as a hobby or professional
• Experience writing English language content
• Able to communicate online daily.
• Available to work full-time on weekdays.
• Must have a suitable working space, a reliable computer and a good internet connection.
The following would be beneficial but are not required:
• Experience with WordPress
• Web development or graphic design experience
• Experience writing or editing long-form English language articles
• Guitar experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Researching information for articles.
• Editing and publishing articles.
• Product analysis and reviews.
• Providing daily work summary reports
Wages:
• You will be required to submit weekly time and productivity sheets and will receive weekly payments electronically.
• Your specific monthly rate will depend on your skills and experience and will be agreed upon before you commence work.
We are located in Australia and will communicate with you using Google Meet, Zoom, and email. Our main communication is carried out through Slack, which we will provide you with and train you in. You will be required to be logged on during working hours Monday to Friday – you can work between 7am to 3pm or 9am and 5pm – specific times are negotiable.
Written applications will be taken initially, and Job Interviews will be conducted through Google Meet. Applicants who pass the first stage of this process will be assigned a short task to verify their writing skills.
