National SEO Content Writer

As mentioned, this is a part-time position but if you excel in this role and establish a strong working relationship, there is potential for this position to transition into a full-time opportunity as we grow, together! (hopefully quickly)

Responsibilities:

• Write and optimize blog posts and articles targeting national audiences, incorporating relevant keywords and SEO best practices.
• Craft compelling press releases for national service area businesses to promote new products, services, events, or company updates.
• Create unique, weekly Google Business Profile posts for our clients to enhance their online presence and engage with the national community.
• Develop content for email newsletters and potential marketing campaigns for both clients and in-house use.
• Conduct keyword research to identify opportunities for national SEO optimization and ensure content is effectively targeting national search terms.
• Write and optimize content for new websites, including homepage, about page, services pages, etc., ensuring alignment with SEO strategies.
• Manage and respond to customer reviews and testimonials, maintaining a positive online reputation for our clients.
• Discover national events and create content around them to showcase our clients’ involvement in the community.
• Adapt content to cater to the specific needs and preferences of the national audience, ensuring a personalized approach.

Requirements:

• Excellent writing and editing skills in American English, with the ability to create engaging, concise, and error-free content.
• Proven experience as a content creator or copywriter, with a focus on national SEO and service area businesses. Please provide samples or a portfolio showcasing your work.
• Proficiency in utilizing ChatGPT as a content creation tool, while understanding the importance of combining it with human expertise and not relying solely on AI-generated content.
• Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and content promotion.
• In-depth knowledge of national SEO, Google’s expectations, and how content creation influences indexing and ranking effectiveness.
• Strong research skills and ability to conduct thorough keyword research for national SEO, utilizing tools such as Google Keyword Planner or Ahrefs.
• Experience with website content optimization, including metadata, headings, and internal linking, to enhance organic search visibility.
