Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented and passionate Newsletter Writer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a strong affinity for pets and the ability to create engaging content that resonates with our audience. This role requires excellent writing skills, creativity, and the ability to develop and execute a newsletter strategy that drives results.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop a deep understanding of our target audience, their interests, and their relationship with pets
Plan and create engaging newsletter content that captures our readers’ attention and keeps them interested
Write compelling headlines that achieve open rates of 35% or higher
Design visually appealing newsletters that incorporate various elements, such as widgets, gifs, polls, and different sections
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the content aligns with our overall marketing and branding strategies
Continuously test and optimize newsletter performance to improve engagement and conversion rates
Requirements:
Strong affinity with pets and a genuine passion for the pet industry
Proven experience in writing engaging content, preferably in the pet niche
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a strong command of the English language
Experience with email marketing platforms, such as MailChimp or similar tools
Knowledge of design principles and experience with design software like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite
Ability to think creatively and strategically, with a focus on delivering results
