Job Description

Did you recently graduate?

I am the founder of a tech company and I am looking to help an new graduate to start their career in quality assurance.

Here is what is required:

1. You must have graduated with a Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related technology degree (no exceptions, please do not apply if you did not recently graduate in the last 7 years, or did not graduate with a technology degree).
2. You must have a laptop, webcam, headset, have reliable internet, power, and a private space to work from home without interruption.
3. I will be overseeing your training personally, and as you might imagine, I am very busy, so you must be comfortable with one on one meetings. You must be totally comfortable being on video over webcam any time. I will train you personally, assign you training material to complete on your own, and you will also act as my personal assistant when not training.
4. Your English must be very good. Specifically, you must be able to write and speak fluently (no exceptions here).
5. As a new grad, I will be making a long term investment in the candidate selected. You must have an excellent can-do attitude and be ready and willing to do absolutely anything. I am looking for someone who can commit to me for the long term, so this is a great opportunity for the right person.
6. You must be a team player, very friendly, and fun to work with (here’s a tip: since you may not have related work experience yet, highlight this aspect in your application).
7. You must be available to work from 4 AM to 1 PM* M-F (no exceptions on schedule).
8. You must be able to be completely discrete, and keep all company activities confidential.

* Note: You must take a 1 hour break each day between the hours of 4 AM and 1 PM.

The position will start out as a direct contract for 6 months. You will have to pass a full background check, NDA, etc., before you start. No other employment is allowed. This is for candidates interested in establishing a career in quality assurance. Your salary and opportunities for advancement will be as follows:

Starting Title: QA Technician Trainee
0 – 6 Months (Contractor 40 Hours / Week)
Salary During Training: 10,000 Php / Mo

During the period as a contractor and you will be paid to complete training, earn certifications, and learn new technology. There will be continued checks to make sure you are working hard, and fit in well. At any point, the contract may be discontinued if there isn’t a good fit. When you are not training, you will act as my personal assistant and complete ad hoc tasks as needed. I will also assign you basic QA related work to help you with on the job training.

Promotion: QA Technician
6 – 12 Months (Transition to FT + benefits including 13 month pay and begin probation period)
Salary: 20,000 Php / Mo

During this period you will transition to a full-time employee, and will be issued a company laptop. You will take on more production responsibilities for QA. You will officially begin a formal probation period which will end with a performance assessment.

Promotion: QA Analyst
1 Year + (Qualify for HMO benefits including 13 month pay and complete regularization)
Salary: 30,000 Php / Mo

After this, if all goes well, you will transition into our full-time QA Analyst. There will be continued opportunities to advance your skills over time with the company.
