Job Summary:
As a vital member of our team, you’ll be the go-to expert in Managed Service Provider (MSP) tools, security systems, patch management, alerting platforms, and backup administration. Your role is crucial in ensuring the seamless operation of these tools, enhancing security measures, optimizing performance, and minimizing technical issues. Collaboration with technical teams will be key in achieving these goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and administrator for a suite of essential tools, including:
RMM tools such as Connectwise, Kaseya, and NinjaOne
Security tools like enterprise antivirus/EDR, content and spam filters, KnowBe4 for training, and vulnerability scanning tools
Patching and alerting management systems
Scripting expertise
Multi-factor authentication frameworks like DUO, Google Authenticator, and Microsoft Authenticator
Backup management solutions including Datto, VEEAM, Axcient, Unitrends, Acronis, and N-Able
Collaborate closely with technical teams to ensure the security and compliance of client systems and data
Provide technical guidance to optimize the utilization of MSP and security tools
Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for MSP tools, security infrastructure, and backup management processes
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry best practices through ongoing technical training and professional development
Offer technical support to clients as needed
Qualifications:
Previous experience in an MSP environment, with a background in technical support, systems administration, or IT operations
Possession of relevant technical industry certifications and product-specific credentials
Proficiency in some or all of the specified tools
Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and software, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, and data center operations
Experience with Microsoft 365/Azure required; expert level preferred
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
