Job Summary

The NEMT Dispatcher is responsible for coordinating and scheduling transportation services for clients to and from medical appointments. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The position is remote, allowing for flexible work arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

? Scheduling and Dispatching: Schedule transportation services for clients based on their medical appointments and needs. Dispatch drivers in a timely and efficient manner.

? Coordination: Work closely with drivers, clients, and healthcare providers to ensure smooth and timely transportation services.

? Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with clients, drivers, healthcare facilities, and brokers such as ModivCare, Access2Care, and others. Address any issues or changes promptly.

? Relationship Management: Maintain good working relationships with brokers, ensuring effective coordination and problem-solving.

? RouteOptimization: Plan and optimize routes to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize travel time.

? CustomerService: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their needs are met.

? Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and state transportation laws.

? Problem-Solving: Quickly and effectively resolve any transportation-related issues or emergencies that arise.

? Business Development: Make calls to potential new clients such as nursing homes, case workers, and adult centers to obtain new business.

Qualifications

? Experience: Previous experience in dispatching, transportation coordination, or a similar role preferred. Experience with MediRoutes is a plus.

? Skills: Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to multitask between multiple screens and manage time effectively.

? Technology: Proficiency in using dispatch software, GPS systems, and other relevant technology.

? Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional training or certification in transportation or logistics is a plus.

? Personal Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure. Strong customer service orientation.

Working Conditions

? Environment: Remote work with efficient internet capability and laptop/desktop. Fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

? Hours: Full-time position. May require occasional evening or weekend shifts.
