Job Summary:
As a Non-profit Grant Writer, you will play a crucial role in securing funding opportunities that align with our mission and support the growth of our impactful initiatives. Your primary responsibility will be identifying potential grant opportunities, researching and analyzing relevant funding prospects, and developing compelling grant proposals that effectively communicate our organization’s mission and project goals to potential donors and funding agencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Research and Identify Funding Opportunities:

Conduct in-depth research to identify potential grant opportunities from various foundations, government agencies, and corporate sources that match our organization’s mission and programs.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and changes in grant funding opportunities, guidelines, and requirements.
Proposal Development:

Collaborate with program managers and other team members to understand project goals, objectives, and budget requirements.
Write persuasive, well-structured, and impactful grant proposals that clearly convey our organization’s vision, mission, and program outcomes.
Tailor grant proposals to meet different funding agencies’ specific requirements and preferences.
Grant Application Process:

Ensure that all grant applications are submitted within the designated timelines and adhere to the required formats and guidelines.
Coordinate and compile all necessary documentation, attachments, and supporting materials for each grant application.
Keep accurate records of grant applications, outcomes, and reporting deadlines.
Relationship Building and Communication:

Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with potential and existing funders, fostering a sense of trust and transparency.
Respond to inquiries from funding agencies, providing additional information as needed to support the grant application process.
Collaborate with the finance and program teams to ensure proper reporting and compliance with grant requirements.
Grant Reporting and Evaluation:

Assist in the development of progress reports and evaluations for successful grant projects, detailing the impact achieved through grant funding.
Collaborate with program managers to gather data and metrics required for grant reporting.
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in communications, non-profit management, English, or a related field. Advanced degrees are a plus.
Proven experience in grant writing for non-profit organizations, with a successful track record of securing grants.
Strong understanding of fundraising principles, grant application processes, and funder requirements.
Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and proposals.
Excellent research and analytical skills to identify suitable funding opportunities.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
