Job Description

We are seeking an experienced OKTA Expert and Consultant to assist our company in setting up and optimizing our OKTA account. As an OKTA Expert and Consultant, you will play a crucial role in not only the technical implementation but also providing consultation and guidance throughout the process to ensure the best utilization of OKTA for our organization’s security and access management needs.

Responsibilities:

1. OKTA Account Setup: Lead the setup and configuration of our OKTA account, ensuring a seamless integration with our existing systems and applications while providing expert guidance and consultation.

2. Identity and Access Management: Design and implement an efficient identity and access management system using OKTA, aligning it with our company’s security policies and compliance requirements. Provide consultation on best practices and tailor the solution to our specific needs.

3. Single Sign-On (SSO): Configure and manage SSO capabilities within OKTA, enabling seamless access to various applications and systems for our employees. Advise on SSO strategies and customization options.

4. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): Implement robust MFA solutions within OKTA to enhance the security of our systems and protect against unauthorized access. Provide recommendations on MFA methods and configuration.

5. User Provisioning and Lifecycle Management: Develop and maintain automated processes for user provisioning, deprovisioning, and managing user lifecycle within OKTA. Consult on optimizing user management workflows and integrations.

6. Security and Compliance: Ensure OKTA configuration adheres to industry best practices and compliance standards, such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS. Offer expertise in security controls, policies, and compliance requirements related to OKTA.

7. Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve any issues related to OKTA integration, authentication, and access management. Consult on resolving complex technical challenges.

8. Documentation and Training: Create comprehensive documentation, user guides, and conduct training sessions to educate employees on OKTA functionality, best practices, and security measures. Offer ongoing consultation and support for user adoption.

9. Stay Updated: Keep up-to-date with the latest OKTA features, releases, and industry trends, and proactively recommend improvements or enhancements to our OKTA implementation. Provide insights and consult on future enhancements and expansion.

Requirements:

1. Proven Experience: Minimum of X years of hands-on experience in implementing and managing OKTA solutions for enterprise-level organizations. Experience providing consultation and guidance throughout the process is highly desirable.

2. OKTA Certifications: Possession of relevant OKTA certifications (such as OKTA Certified Administrator or OKTA Certified Professional) is highly desirable.

3. Strong Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge and expertise in OKTA configuration, SSO, MFA, user provisioning, and access management. Ability to translate technical concepts into actionable recommendations and consult on customizations.

4. Security and Compliance: Familiarity with industry security standards and compliance requirements, and the ability to align OKTA configuration accordingly. Provide consultation on security controls and compliance implications.

5. Problem-Solving Abilities: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot OKTA-related issues and provide effective solutions. Offer consultative problem-solving approaches and guidance.

6. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Deliver clear and concise consultation and recommendations.

7. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, sharing knowledge and providing guidance to other team members. Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external consultants.

8. Project Management: Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within established timelines. Provide consultation on project planning and coordination.

9. Continuous Learning: Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with evolving technologies and industry best practices. Offer consultation on emerging trends and innovative OKTA solutions.
