About us:
Game English School Japan is an online English school that offers one-on-one lessons to Japanese elementary students (age 6-12). Our students will be able to learn English in the most exciting way possible with Minecraft. We believe children can acquire English only when they enjoy learning it!
We launched our school in 2022 and finished the first year with 100% student retention rate. Aiming at scaling next year, we’re looking for talented individuals.
Primary Role:
As one of our online English tutors, you will play Minecraft with a student on our Microsoft realms and teach English via Skype following our school lesson plans. Basically, each lesson lasts 30 minutes and has a mission. You and your student try to achieve it by the end of the lesson. You are expected to foster students’ English skills as well as enjoy playing Minecraft together.
Lesson Salary: PHP 350-400/hour
Benefits:
-Pay raise (January and July)
-Performance bonus (additional 50PHP to base rate)
*For tutors who successfully carry out all lessons of the month
Job Type:
-Part-time (8-12 hours per week)
-Tuesday-Friday, 5:30 p.m. -9:30 p.m. (PST) *2 or 3 working days
Required Skills:
-Proficient Minecraft skills
-Excellent English communication skills
-Great English pronunciation
Technical Requirements:
-Fast and stable internet connection at home with at least 100 Mbps
-Your own computer equipped with an HD webcam and a headset
-Minecraft bedrock edition
-Microsoft Office (Excel and Power Point)
