Operations Manager – Transportation Logistics

Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead and manage our transportation logistics operations. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent organizational skills, capable of spearheading logistical operations and fostering strong partnerships with carriers, brokers, and owner operators.
Key Responsibilities:
– Spearhead and oversee all logistical operations related to transportation logistics.
– Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for finding and partnering with different carriers and brokers to establish contracts for courier routes.
– Recruit, onboard, and manage a team of 1099 owner operators to facilitate transportation services.
– Collaborate with the CEO to analyze and optimize the company’s compensation structure for employees and contractors.
– Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless execution of logistical operations.
– Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
– Oversee compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
– Handle other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
– Proven experience (X years) in transportation logistics or a similar role, with a track record of success in managing logistical operations.
– Strong understanding of transportation regulations, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with carriers, brokers, and team members.
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and logistics management software.
– Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
– Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities.
