A firm in Sydney Australia is looking an Operations Manager – YouTube Channel to help solve problems for sales leads and successfully close deals. We have a have a strong industry presence and are looking to hire someone who is dedicated, dynamic individual with a strong experience.

The Operations Manager for our YouTube channel will be responsible for overseeing and managing the daily operations of our creative team, including three Creative Editors and a Creative Director, while also liaising with administrative staff. This role includes managing performance and HR tasks for staff, financial budgets, and acting as an integrator for the founder. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with excellent communication and problem-solving skills who can lead and inspire our team to achieve optimal efficiency and content quality.

Responsibilities:
Team Management and Leadership:

Oversee and manage the daily operations of the creative team, including three Creative Editors and a Creative Director.
Establish clear goals and expectations, ensuring that each team member understands their role and responsibilities.
Provide ongoing feedback, support, and guidance to help team members grow and develop in their roles.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting creativity and innovation among team members.
Address any conflicts or issues that may arise within the team in a timely and effective manner.

Performance Management and HR Tasks:
Regularly evaluate the performance of team members, providing constructive feedback and facilitating performance reviews.
Develop and implement performance improvement plans when necessary, ensuring that team members have the resources and support they need to succeed.
Manage HR-related tasks, including hiring, onboarding, training, and offboarding team members as needed.
Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws and regulations.

Financial Budgeting and Management:
Develop and manage budgets for the creative team, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and strategically.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures as needed.
Work with administrative staff and the founder to develop and maintain financial forecasts and reports.

Integration and Collaboration:
Act as the main point of contact between the creative team, administrative staff, and the founder, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
Regularly update the founder on the progress of projects, challenges, and opportunities, providing strategic recommendations as needed.
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration, identifying and leveraging synergies between different departments to drive success for the YouTube channel.

Project Management:
Oversee and manage content production, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet the highest standards of quality.
Develop and implement project management processes and tools to optimize efficiency and effectiveness within the team.
Regularly review and analyze project performance, identifying areas for improvement and making adjustments as needed.

Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Communications, or a related field.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in operations management, team leadership, or a similar role.
Strong familiarity with the YouTube platform and a passion for creating engaging content.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapting to changing priorities as needed.
Strong financial management and budgeting skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.

It will be extremely advantageous for you to have an interest and experience in:
– Working in the ‘Cloud’ (i.e. working in the browser) and how that is changing business
– Small businesses (i.e. up 1-30 employees)
– Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Drive etc.)
– Other small business applications (CRM, task management, integrations)
