Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Virtual Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in legal research, and writing. Additionally, the candidate must have a comprehensive understanding of e-service and court filings in California state and federal courts. This is a remote position, offering the opportunity to work independently while collaborating with our legal team.

Responsibilities:

Conducting legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations
Drafting legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
Assisting with case management and organization of documents and evidence
Filing documents electronically in California state and federal courts
Communicating with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel as necessary
Maintaining and updating case calendars and deadlines
Assisting attorneys with trial preparation and other tasks as needed

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in paralegal studies or a related field
Previous experience working as a paralegal or legal assistant, preferably in California
Proficiency in legal research using online databases such as Westlaw or LexisNexis
Strong writing and communication skills, with attention to detail
Knowledge of California court rules and procedures for both state and federal courts
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Reliable internet connection and home office setup for remote work
