TapJets is looking for a Paralegal / Compliance Manager that will join our team and make an impact in many areas of our organization. You will report to our General Counsel for all pending matters and to COO for all internal compliance related projects.

Job Summary
The Paralegals work alongside General Counsel and Company Management to enforce and defend company legal rights by drafting pleadings and motions; calendaring all events timely and within their due dates; participating in company meetings and maintain company legal documents; create and monitor deadlines for case progression; trial preparation; and finalizing settlement agreements. Ensure compliance with regulatory filings as well as overseeing corporate etiquette and compliance obligations.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Managing corporate filings, documentation, and contracts.
• Managing a active litigation from initial filing through trial and post-trial
• Draft and file legal documents and pleadings in State and Federal court
• Draft and file discovery and manage discovery compliance
• Draft corporate documents and oversee their correctness and compliance.
• Communicate in a clear and concise manner with team members, clients, corporate counsel, vendors, , judicial employees/clerk, and other legal professionals
• Coordinate, schedule and calendar meetings, case related deadlines, notice hearings, depositions, and other litigation related proceedings
• Coordinate, schedule and calendar meetings, corporate related events and documents and compliance / audit items.
• Provide excellent legal support to the team and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Assist with trial preparation (trial binders, exhibits, redacting, etc.)
Qualifications and Skills
• 3+ years of Trial Support experience preferred, but not required
• 5+ years of Business Contracts, Intellectual Property law related cases or projects
• Excellent English (US) written and oral communications skills
• Strong multitasking skills, highly organized, and detail oriented
• Able to excel in a fast-paced work environment, take direction and work with little supervision
• Able to manage a large caseload and comply with deadlines
• Knowledge of State and Federal court statutes, rules, and procedures
• Familiar in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and the ability to become proficient in firm technology programs
• Familiar with legal terminology, court proceeding and drafting pleadings, discovery, and legal documents
