Summary:
The Estate Planning/Elder Law Drafting Paralegal will play an integral role within our estate planning division. This involves the drafting of estate planning documents and effectively managing aspects of the estate planning process. Familiarity with the spectrum of documents generated by an Elder Law-focused law firm is crucial. A successful Paralegal in this role will thrive in a dynamic, team-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
• Assist Paralegals in preparing various documents, including accountings and spreadsheets.
• Work in database to ensure matter is up to date and all information is filled in.
• Meticulously review drafts for accuracy, grammar, spelling, and document consistency.
• Engage in weekly virtual meetings with the Estate Planning team, providing updates and highlighting any potential or existing issues.
• Handle email and text inquiries form clients with professionalism, directing callers to the appropriate team members.
Process client document’s and case information into firm CRM.

Reporting Structure:
This role directly reports to the Estate Planning Attorney and the Practice Manager. While substantive issues are overseen by the Estate Planning Attorney, administrative matters fall under the jurisdiction of the Practice Manager. Performance evaluations are conducted by the Estate Planning Attorney.

Ideal Candidate Requirements:
• Proficiency in the English language, both in writing and speech.
• A Bachelor’s Degree
• Must have at least 2 years of experience at a law firm as a paralegal or legal assistant.
• Skillful in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Word, and Excel, as well as Adobe Acrobat and trello.
• Familiarity with Elderdocx, Wealthdocx, or similar document production software is a plus.
• Outstanding organizational and interpersonal aptitudes.
• Capable of multitasking and handling time-sensitive tasks efficiently.
• Collaborative attitude in a team-driven environment.
