Job Description

As a Paralegal, you will play a vital role in supporting legal and administrative functions. Your responsibilities include calendar management, basic filing, collections, day-to-day litigation tasks, and assistance with Subrogation/Medicaid cases. This role demands a keen understanding of legal procedures, excellent communication skills, and ethical conduct.

Key Responsibilities:
• Legally pursue third parties causing insurance losses.
• Assist in recovering claim amounts paid to insured by insurance carrier.
• Efficiently manage day-to-day calendars.
• Organize and file legal documents accurately.
• Ensure scheduling orders are managed.
• Manage ongoing litigation tasks.
• Coordinate scheduling orders, final pre-trial dates, and mediation.
• Prepare necessary documents for mediation and final trials.
• Collaborate on filing and responding to discovery.
• Triage and manage emails efficiently.
• Leverage paralegal expertise in understanding US laws.
• Preferably knowledgeable in the laws of the state of Ohio.
• Ad hoc Tasks from the client

Requirements & Qualifications:
• Proven experience as an Executive Assistant or Paralegal.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., liberal arts, humanities, law).
• Knowledgeable in Subrogation/Medicaid processes.
• Proficient in calendar management and basic filing.
• Familiarity with legal procedures and documentation.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ethical and professional conduct.
• Undergo 3 days of paid training. If there’s an urgency for the role, then the new hire is required to render an hour of paid OT before or after the shift for 3 weeks.
• Amenable to work Monday through Friday 9 AM – 1 PM Eastern Standard Time.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in Subrogation/Medicaid cases.
• Paralegal certification or relevant legal qualifications.
• In-depth knowledge of US laws, especially Ohio.
• Experience in handling legal correspondence and documentation.
• Proactive and resourceful in legal support.
