This position will initially be for two laundromats that we own. It might be expanded a little for a new business in the future but we don’t expect to need more than a part-time person for a few hours a week. We’re very flexible in terms of when the work gets done. Feel free to fit it into your schedule however you’d like. We care that the work is done on a timely basis but you can choose to work when you want.
Our existing books are current through December 31, 2023 and were managed in QuickBooks Desktop. We have the file. We have preferred QuickBooks Desktop in the past over QuickBooks Online due to issues we’ve experienced with QBO. But we have some flexibility in terms of which product to use. If QuickBooks Desktop, then we’ll need automatic backups to the cloud.
This job will require more time initially to get caught up year-to-date. We then expect it to take only a few hours per week. We are specifically looking for someone to:
* Maintain financial records
* Import and record financial transactions
* Reconcile bank statements
* Prepare financial statements
* Manage QuickBooks
* Monitor cash flow
* Prepare budgets and forecasts
* Assist with tax preparation (ability to complete US taxes for businesses is a plus but not required)
* Analyze financial data
* Establish and maintain internal controls
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree
* Fluent in English
* Prior relevant experience with a US-based company
